Goddard's Annual Management Meeting 2007 Focuses on Change
"The Challenges and Opportunities of Change "

Barbados, CI. July 23, 2007

One hundred and ten senior managers, including the Directors of Goddard Enterprises Ltd, representing twenty (20) countries in the Caribbean, Central, South and North America, recently got together for their annual Management Meeting at Sherbourne Conference Centre in Barbados.   The theme for this year’s meeting was: The Challenges and Opportunities of Change.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Wade Younger, CEO of Fruition Consulting Inc. - a consulting company based in North Carolina, USA.

Mr. Younger addressed the topic of Managing Change and specifically dealt with Challenges, Opportunities, Innovation and the importance of Leadership in managing change.  Participants  were told about the importance of preparing themselves for change, communicating that change to others and ensuring cooperation through building teamwork.  Mr. Younger also told participants that there were eight (8) steps to successful Corporate Change: 

  1. Urgency
  2. The importance of a Committee
  3. Having a Vision
  4. Communicating that Vision
  5. Empowerment
  6. Having Quick wins
  7. Reinforcement; and
  8. Institutionalizing the change 

He also said that it is important to build systems and structures to assist in the implementation of change.  It is also important to create commitment if we are to successfully carry ourselves through the maze of change that inevitably occurs in our personal and work lives.

The afternoon session was also moderated by Mr. Younger.  It was in the form of a Panel Discussion and was a continuation of the topic of Managing Change and included panelists: Ian Alleyne, Divisional General Manager - Marketing and Import Distribution; John Williams, Divisional General Manager, Manufacturing and Services;  Mr. John Taylor, Deputy Divisional General Manager - Manufacturing and Services; and Joseph Nicholson, Divisional General Manager - Catering Division.
           
Both presentations were very well received by the managers present.

Fruition’s Teambuilding Gets High Marks from the City of Charlotte’s Storm Water Team

Charlotte, NC November 14, 2005
The City of Charlotte’s Storm Water organization, which included both office and field personnel converged on the Charlotte Sport Center to experience a day of teambuilding fun. 

The lead consulting was Wade Younger, founder of Fruition’s Top Flight teambuilding program. 

Joe Hecksher, head of the City of Charlotte’s Department of Storm Water had this to say about the event, “There are very few times that our entire group is in the same place at the same time. When we are all together, it is a meeting to present several pieces of information. We never have one segment of Storm Water that pertains to our work that impacts 100% of our staff. North Carolina Community College Association calls on Fruition

Ashville, NC March 14, 2005
The North Carolina Community Association gathered at the beautiful Grove Park Inn, in Ashville, NC for their annual conference.  One of the featured speakers was Wade Younger, CEO of Fruition Consulting.

We were treated to a presentation by Mr. Wade Younger, founder of Fruition Consulting.  

Priscilla Nesbitt,  NEWH Toronto Chapter Chairperson and one of the conference coordinators spoke about  session.  "Mr. Younger spoke of different leadership types, the importance of positive thinking and attitude, positive ways to team build, the importance of and the positive attributes of change and “It’s not what the vision is, it is what the vision does.
